Uplift Performing Arts was created by a former homeschool mama that saw the need in the Augusta area to help kids (and adults) learn the basics of musical theater through classes and lessons. Children of all abilities are welcome to classes in the Fall semester but especially those who want to explore their talents and gifts in the performing arts. Those who struggle with anxiety or appreciate the smaller classes especially will find this to be an environment that promotes confidence and encouragement.
Inspire Studios Center for Performing Arts off Belair Road offers homeschool classes. Each registered student joins a cast and performs in a musical at the end of the semester. They will learn acting, singing and dancing skills as well as building self-confidence with a community of friends.
They also offer musical theater classes through the Salvation Army Kroc Center on Tuesday mornings. In addition, they offer group piano lessons, dance camps and musical theater themed camps.
